Sacred Sound Modular Course I felt that there was scope for a sound course that wasn’t just aimed at people who wanted to become ‘sound practitioners’ but also those that would like to work with sound for their own well-being and/or interest. Rather than having to sign up for a minimum of 1 - 2 years I felt there was a need for a modular course where you can choose to do as many of the modules as you would like, working progressively to whatever level you wish, anywhere from beginner to sound practitioner. The aim of this course is to assist you to work intuitively in your own unique way with encouragement, support and guidance. Whether you decide to use the skills you unfold to work just on yourself, on friends and family or to complete the course as a sound practitioner you will find that the progressive nature of the course will allow you to make those choices as you go along on this journey with sound. You will be working with a wide range of instruments including gongs, Himalayan singing bowls, Native American flute, shamanic drum, djembe, didgeridoo and voice. Unlike many other sound courses, all instruments are provided for you to work with (of course you are welcome to bring your own as well). The retreats are being held at the beautiful and tranquil Launde Abbey, Leicestershire, where we are hoping to form as a sort of ‘Sound College’ (for want of a better word) in the near future. We have already had a very successful year with the first group (who have inspired my work with this so much) and who have now moved onto the ‘Sound Creation’ section that started in November 2007.
