Sacred Sound Modular Course - First section “Dissonance to Resonance” ~ this part of the course is mostly about working with the ‘self’ through the medium of sound resonance. You will explore sound as a transformational/healing tool for self re-discovery, cleansing and rebalancing. Working with and gaining playing skills of a range of resonant, ancient, ancestral instruments that will help you connect with the innermost part of your self through a remembering. The different vibrational frequencies of these instruments, including your natural voice and working with the breath will help the body to re-establish a more perfect balance with its own tone giving rise to clearer thinking, stronger intuition, inner harmony and well-being. You will also have the opportunity to work with body awareness through the morning practise sessions to energise the body, enhance flexibility, tone and experience deep relaxation. This is the foundation section to all the other modules and I liken it to “tuning up” before playing in the orchestra ~ hence the title Dissonance to Resonance! For information on the 3 modules in this section please click here D2R Modules 1 - 3 Second section “Sound Creation” ~ the second part of these series of modules focuses on the creation part of working with sound. Although this is covered a little in section one, by now your playing skills will be much more enhanced becoming like second nature, leaving you not having to “think” so much about your playing - thus allowing your intuition more freedom to guide you. This is when the ‘sound creation’ really comes into its own. You will have grown in confidence and be ready to explore more areas of working with sound resonance. At this point we are able to experiment even further within large and small groups as well as working on a one to one basis. You will have the opportunity of producing sound baths of your own if you wish. We will be working very deeply with the intuitive side of using sound and this will be an excellent foundation whether you are considering being a sound practitioner or if you are doing this purely for enjoyment and/or for your well-being. This section also includes creating and performing concerts for those people who are interested. Third section “Sound Practitioner” ~ this is the final part of in this series of 9 modules but it is not to say it’s the last….where we go from here, who knows??!! J This section deals with working specifically as a practitioner, although it is still a very useful tool for anyone who would like to work on an even deeper level with sound for transformational healing for themselves or working with friends and family. You will cover all aspects associated with working as a practitioner. Extensive feedback will be given on this specific area along with support material to go away with. There will also be a support network set up for all people working at this level where you can discuss issues and share ideas with each other as well as have assistance if needed from experienced practitioners who have been working in this field for many years. There will also be the add on 1-2 day workshops concentrating on individual instruments, practices and specialist areas of sound and body work for those that want to deepen their experience further.
